Not a huge fan. We had tons of Saskatoon berry bushes where I grew up and I find their skins too tough and the crown a very unpleasant texture. I learned a few years ago that they call these Juneberries in the US.
What? Juneberries?! Never have I ever... Janice, Janice, Janice. It's true, some toons are a bit grubby but you save those for days you need extra fiber is all. :) Skins to tough? What, no way... use yer teeth! How often do you hear a guy say that, eh? hahahahhaha
I feel the same but these ones I picked yesterday definitely didn't have such a hard crown on them. And, I didn't know they are called Juneberries - always so much to learn!

No harrassing my friend LOL LOL You are saskatoon berry crazy, good thing I'm bringing that big bag home for you!
Lol. You're funny. But seriously, the name was a whole thing. It was on the news. Here's an article about it from Time https://time.com/3154160/saskatoon-berry-juneberry-canada-international-incident/
Good article but a decade old. Google trends says "Canada wins the Berry Naming Battle!"

That is crazy! Oh those American neighbours of ours ;-) Great article, thanks for sharing!
