Warning ADULTS ONLY CONTENT: Not many people know but in my 20s and 30s I had an irrational (one might say neurotic) aversion to using, buying or even considering sage in any of my cooking. See, my (h)ex brought this guy (can you guess his name?) into our place and he was staying with us and he spilled coffee all over my computer station! He didn't even ask to use it, and he only half-assed the clean up, too. Anyway, he used my (h)ex without asking too, and when he did apologize for that I wasn't too accepting or kind and punched him right in the, umm junk. Hahahhaahhahahhahaha. Memories.
But I'm much more sophisticated now! Colleen has lifted the pall and halted my silly boycott from sage and I'm happy to say I enjoy cooking with it now more than ever.

One very interesting fact about mint - no matter what kind of mint it is, the stems are "square" - whether it's mojito mint or chocolate mint . . .
